  • wurlitzer 4037 orbit III help

Hi All, new here and need help to figure out if I can fix this organ that my son brought home :)

The 3rd Manual(synth) ( think that what the keyboards are called) works but the rest of them do not. I believeit to be a power supply problem and am looking for any help to get me goingin the right direction. I do not have any manuals and would be greatful to be directed to where I might find one. Thanks in advance for your help! I checked all the fuses (I could find) and they are good. If this belongs in another furumplease advise.

    Contact Wurlitzer organ parts supplier
    morelocksorgan@frontiernet.net
Specify which model your organ is and what the symptoms are. If it is Orbit synth ( the 3rd smaller keyboard on the organ)related then they also sell the specific orbit manual for the organ- if Orbit III manual it is around $15, but if it is only the organ they sell the service manual for that too. Typical prices are $20. Well worth it. They have service manuals for all of the Wurlitzer and parts still after all of these years because the workers bought out the stock and made a small business of the left overs from the Huge Wurlitzer plant. They are very friendly and reply right away when you email them.

Be sure to watch ' Wurlitzer Factory' on youtube. There is the 1940's film in 5 different parts, and then an even older one from the pipe organ factory in the 1920's.

I have lots of organ videos on my youtube channel: paulj0557, here's a Wurlitzer 625t with an Orbit synth in the video below.I have this model in natural dark fruit wood. They sell for around $200 average here in Ohio. I paid $100 for mine. Everything works, but the Portamento on the Orbit synth. It was in mint physical condition.

BE SURE TO GROUND YOURSELF TO THE CHASSIS WHEN WORKING AROUND THE LARGER CHIPS FOR THE ORGAN'S TONE GENERATORS. STATIC ELECTRICITY FROM YOUR BODY CAN SHORT OUT THE CHIPS AND RUIN THEM. ALSO, ALWAYS LOCK DOWN THE REVERB TANK SPRINGS ( LEVER ON BACK) WHEN MOVING THE ORGAN, AS THE SPRINGS CAN PRODUCE A BACK CHARGE INTO THESE SENSITIVE CHIPS.
