  • Pink Floyd - Sheep B3 v2 settings

    Hi,
i use Arturia B3 v2 with preset to play Pink Floyd's Sheep but i wish to modify It so that it sounds similar to the sound in the mp3 file i attached to this post. I already tried changing some parameters but I didn't succeed. Can someone help? Thanks

      Here's the link: https://organforum.com/forums/forum/...floyd-settings

It's an interesting discussion. Bill Beer made a lot of modifications to his instruments, and I think that's integral to the sound (and what makes them hard to copy). Also, listening to the recording, there's a fair bit of mechanical noise produced by the instrument that I think is part of what gives it its character.

Chasing the Bill Beer sound is a pretty deep rabbit hole! Here's another forum post related to the topic:

There's no VST that really gets the Bill Beer sound to my knowledge, it would be nice if one of his cut downs in reasonable shape could be sampled.
