I am having some problems with my AO-28 preamp and am considering buying the Trek SSP-3 of my friend in the UK. Can anyone advise if I can use this preamp on a US Hammond? Aside from the difference in line voltage, are there other issues to consider? Thanks.

There shouldn't be problems apart from line voltage. I just swapped my AO-28 for an SSP-3A. One thing I have realised though was that the boards in the SSP can vary. For example mine has instrument level fx loop, vol pedal and reverb but I want to add the BTC-2A level controls and can't just plug them in. I need to add a bit more to the board to do this as it was sold to go with only the other options. Just bear this in mind.
Cheers

Regarding line voltage, there are two mains transformers inside the preamp. You could contact Mike at TrekII and see if he will sell you 120VAC replacement ones. He was very helpful when I sent him the serial number of mine and was able to tell me it was a B3/C3 model from 2006.

A lot of that is ~fingernail smoke~ from the out and out flamin' bad-ass-rockin' I do during any given jam.

Honestly? If I remember correctly it's Emerson's ... and not part of some pre-scripted theatrics or a ~prop~. Dang thing just went up!
This one (attached) is from some ex-heavy metal dude named Paul Gilbert from his album "Burning organ".
